The competition is aimed at all young talents in the region and promotes research in the field of photography and images. In order to take part, candidates have to present a project consisting of colour or black-and-white images, a video or a video installation. Following the appraisal by the jury, this year joined by special guest Italian artist Luca Pozzi, the winners of the 2019-2020 Vignali Prize were:
